| A pleasant scenic ride takes
us through the hidden roads of the old city of Kathmandu,
from here we head towards the villages of Khokna and Bungmati,
which date back to the 14th century. Our journey continues
through the hills on a jeep track through the village of Champa
Devi to reach Chapagaon village situated on the southern tip
of the Kathmandu Valley. The fascinating ride offers you the
opportunity to see rural pockets of the Kathmandu Valley which
are seldom visited by the outside world. We pass through scenic
farm-fields, as we take in the superb panoramic view of snow
capped peaks to the north. The foothill around the Valley
like Nagarjung, Shivapuri, Nagarkot, Kakani,
Changunarayan, Chisapani, Tokha, Shakhu are ideal
places for biking which provide magnificent view of High Himalaya.Getting
around these places is as much fun as mini-adventure. The
valley also offers plenty of opportunities to get off the
beaten track, with cycling to and from the resort villages
of Nagarkot and Dhulikhel, wallowing in Tatopani's
hot springs, exploring cloud forests in Pulchowki,
and mountain biking in the regions of Chapagaon and
Bungamati.
