KALI GANDAKI RAFTING (3 DAYS)

Named after the much-revered Goddess Kali and descending from the deepest gorge in the world, this fabulous river (class 3 to 4+) offers a mixture of astounding mountain views and pure adrenaline rushes with in close proximity of complete wilderness.

An expedition on this river normally lasts 3 days, while offering magnificent views of mountains, forests, wildlife and vegetation. Along the way you will encounter culture at its simplest. If you’re lucky, traditional Magar and Chetri villagers will venture down to the riverbank to witness your journey through the remote mountain wilderness of Nepal.

The turbulent waters provide for an adrenaline-pumping ride as Class-III and IV rapids are reached coupled with the existence of deadly holes. A total of 105 Km will be covered. OUTLINE ITINERARY
Day 1
We meet at our sales counter in Pokhara at 6.30 AM and drive you to Baglung Naya Pul (3hrs. driv3e). Our chefs will prepare the Lunch and our guides prepare the rafts and kayaks. Your help is always appreciated. Listen to our leaders briefing about paddling and safety measures before embarking on the ride. Get set to paddle forward because the biggest rapid (class 4+) of this river "Small Brother" is approaches with speed. Another rapid " Big brother" follows immediately making its negotiation wuite a challenge. After some class III+ rapids you will be able to get off downstream and set up camp at Modi Dovan. Enjoy the starry night and campfire.
Day 2
After a few minutes of rafting you encounter the class IV rapid "Morning Rapid" and paddle down to the next camp facing numerous other rapids. The whole day you can enjoy the panoramic views of the mountain and traditional country life, while paddling through the deepest river gorge of the world. Camp at Seti Beni beach.

Day 3
Watch the Nepali landscapes and ethno-cultures, paddling on the huge waves and rapids; paddling stops after you approach the dam at Mirmighat, the rafting put off point. Lunch served, equipment packed and drive back to Pokhara (4 hours of driving through the valley and steep hills).
