The trail then descends a little through rhododendron
forests and back up to Ghorepani. Once in Ghorepani
you will forget your tiredness and will be busy to soak in
the scenic beauty of the Dhaulagiri (26,788ft), Annapurna
South, Nilgiri and numerous other peaks. Next day you have
a morning hike to the top of Poon Hill (3200m), a god gifted
place from where some of the best panoramic beauty
of the Himalayan landscape is on display. An uncomfortable
descending trail will be encountered after Poon Hill but our
staff will assist you in every way to make it easier for you.
Once you reach Tatopani all will be forgotten while you enjoy
natural hot springs. The trail then follows along the Kaligandaki
gorge, one of the deepest in the world, up to the
Kagbeni, the gateway to inner reaches of the Mustang
Kingdom. An immense highland plateau marks the dramatic
landscape of this region. The highest point of this trek is
Muktinath, a Hindu pilgrimage site over 3823m.
From here an easy descent will take you down to Jomsom from
where you can catch a flight back to Pokhara the next morning.
After a nights rest in Pokhara you will be transported back
to Kathmandu and civilisation.
