To enjoy the cultural richness of India could take a long
time as its lands stretch far and wide, unlike the Kingdom
of Nepal. An easier option is to discover India
in sections. This package offered by Himalayan
Glacier Trekking aims to deliver
the wonders of north and west India from the holy city
of Varanasi (Benaras) and finishing off in Rajasthan,
“The Land of Kings”, journeying
via Agra and New Delhi, the capital of India.
This fantastic trip is a good starting point for travelers
new to India and its ways of life.
The tour of India starts with a flight to Varanasi,
from Kathmandu, lazing on the banks of the
Ganges. Varanasi also known as Benaras
and Kashi is the chosen home of the Hindi Lord Shiva,
emitting a powerful energy throughout the city making
it an unforgettable spiritual adventure. After this
you will have the chance of visiting the Taj
Mahal, a symbol of eternal
love and one of the Seven Wonders of
the World.

While in Agra you can also admire the magnificence
of several monuments erected by the erstwhile Mughal
Rulers of India including the Red
Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and the massive Buland Darwaza.
Containing all the contrasts of life is New Delhi,
a magical and enchanting city but depressing at times.
The monuments old and new offer a look into this ancient
seat of power and its evolution since then. The fusion
of Hindu and Muslim cultures makes Delhi an interesting
place to see.
After the north it is time to travel to the west
and the legendary and colorful state of Rajasthan
which continues to attract tourists from all over
the world. This is a land of fierce kings, beautiful
palaces and sacred temples. Your adventure in Rajasthan
starts from the capital of Jaipur
featuring a large and ornately carved city Palace.
Udaipur, the sunrise city, attracts honeymooners and
James Bond enthusiasts with a palace built on the
middle of a serene lake. For a taste of life in the
Middle Ages a trip to Jaisalmer is a must from where
one can even undertake a desert safari on the back
of a Camel. The tour concludes in the holy
town of Puskar housing the only Brahma Temple
in India built on the banks of an oasis.
From Puskar you will head back to Delhi and
board a Kathmandu bound flight.
