The tour was brilliant, we really enjoyed it. Our guide spoke very good English and kept us entertained well. He looked after us well and went beyond what we expected; even getting us twin rooms for the first few nights as he thought the dorms weren't good enough. He also helped us get train tickets on to Chengdu which was really appreciated. Thanks for all your help in organising the tour. We passed on your card to an American we met in china who was keen to do the same tour.
We have had one problem however. When we got to Chengdu and tried to exchange our Tibet permit for a china visa we were told it was not possible because of the long public holiday [1st May to 7th May] we therefore left China yesterday and flew to Thailand now we are enjoying our time in Thailand.
Thank you very much for organize such a fantastic Kathmandu to Lhasa Overland tour and sure we will back to Nepal soon for long Trek.

 Once a year, as an old tradition, my son and I take a two weeks holiday.
It is dad’s responsibility to look for a challenging destination in a country where we have not been before.
All of a sudden I thought about the Mount Everest and started to look on the internet for the possibilities of making an individual trekking in Nepal.
There a couple of Dutch tour operators who offer a trekking to the Mount Everest Base Camp. I contacted the organization which had, for me, the most appealing program. The information I received looked good, but being an experienced traveler I like to know all the details in advance.
It took long to receive an answer on my more specific questions. The reason was that the Dutch travel agent could not answer the questions himselve but had to contact his agent in Nepal first.
Knowing this I decided to look for a Nepal base trekking agency myself.
On www.nepal.starpagina.nl I found several Nepal Trekking-buro’s. I first judged all their internet-sites and picked out 3 trekking-buro’s. I sent them an identical e-mail with questions about an itinerary for a individual trip, price, value for money, client care, environment, responsibility, staff/porters protection, on line booking, certified and affiliated with, etc.
The next day I received a personal telephone call from Naba who is working for Himalayan Glacier Trekking, one of the buro’s I sent an e-mail.
Doing business via the e-mail has to do with trust.
This telephone call gave me a good feeling about the reliability of Himalayan Glacier Trekking. This in combination with the (fast and most suitable) answers to all my questions decided me to ask H.G.T. to organize a Mount Everest Base Camp Trekking for me and my son.
 Looking back to this trekking I must say that the organization of the trekking was perfect.
Logistics to and from the airport(s), briefing in their Kathmandu office, accommodation, gear (free sleeping bag, down jacket, trekbag), itinerary, excellent and very capable guide (Rishi) and porter, personal services, all meals during the trekking etc.
Our main objective was to reach the Mount Everest Base Camp and the top of the Kala Pattar. We succeeded in reaching both thanks to our guide. The itinerary, with two “acclimatization-days”, enabled us to acclimatize en route to the Mount Everest Base Camp. We reached our goals without any serious signs of AMS.
While ”on the mountain” Naba of Himalayan Glacier Trekking took care of the confirmation of our return flights both from Lukla to Kathmandu as from Kathmandu to Amsterdam.
Returning in Kathmandu we were offered a couple of well deserved Everest-beers and a delicious farewell dinner in the popular Rum Doodle restaurant.
The main topic, for Himalayan Glacier, was to learn from our experiences. This for the continuous improvement of their programs.
It will be a pleasure for me to recommend Himalayan Glacier to anyone wishing to come to Nepal trekking and I am happy to correspond with any potential clients you may have who might wish to find out more about the experience.

Thank you for a wonderful trip that Kristy and I had.
The scenery was fantastic and I would like to congratulate
you on a well organized trek and sending Bhimsen’s
as our guide. Throughout the trek he was very professional
and supplied an overwhelming service to our needs. He
was very informative. He gave us an excellent advice
and guidance and introduced us to the Nepalese way of
life, which we had just wanted to know. The accommodation
and the food in the Teahouses that Bhimsen had chosen
for us were excellent. Bhimsen is an asset to your company
and I would recommend his services to anybody who is
considering any treks in the Himalayas. Thank you again
for a wonderful time in Nepal.

In March 2004 Centacare
used the services of Himalayan Glacial trekking to conduct
its annual fundraising Challenge to the Mt Everest Base Camp.
It took Centacare nearly 6 months to put the program together.
During this time and at every stage of the operation the expertise
of HGT proved invaluable. Sagar and his team could not do
enough to ensure that our pre trek preparations were in order.
From the moment we landed on Nepalese soil HGT, Sagar and
his staff did everything possible to ensure our welcome and
proper induction into the culture of Nepal.
The HGT team proved on the trek to be exceptional
in their professionalism and willingness to accommodate all
our requirements. In our every day to day interaction with
them it was as if we were a big family. In crisis they demonstrated
exceptional skills and acts above and beyond the terms of
our contracts. As a Large Australian charity dependent on
the professionalism of companies such as HGT to effect successful
program we recommend to everyone the expertise of HGT in the
conducting of its tours. I personally have relied on HGT since
1999 for support on a variety of different ventures and have
never found them wanting. It is with sincere pride and genuine

Dear Naba,
Thank you very much for your help on our tour from Kathmandu
to Lhasa from 5th June to 9th June. I want to inform you
that everything was going well and especially the breakfast
on the first morning was unforgettable with a majestic
view. The trip was great with amazing views on the mountains!

Great Trip- totally exhausted and need a holiday. Saw amazing
views, can’t believe how high we walked-really felt like
the top of the world. Megh was a fantastic guide, taught us
some Nepalese.

We have been for 14 days in the Langtang Area. It was very
amazing to see these huge things like mountains, Sherpas,
Yaks, rice fields, monkeys etc. The lodges, Hotels and local
people are very good. It was a very funny and happy time apart
from our bad sportive condition that made it sometimes quite
hard. Of course we will do another trek. It was also good
to have a guide who always knew where we were, how long the
way took, etc. We were glad to trek with him.

Have just returned from the Langtang –Helambu Trek.
The weather was perfect and we had stunning views across the
mountain ranges. The lodges that we stayed in were simple
but clean & the food was good. Our guide and porter, Thakur
and Prakash, were both excellent and made our 2 weeks very
enjoyable. We have organized prettymuch all our travel arrangements
in Nepal with Himalayan glacier Trekking & they are very
efficient & helpful. We did a Mountain Flight which was
well worth the money & our next excursion is to the Royal
Chitawan National Park.
Thank you to everyone who made our stay in Nepal unforgettable.

Himalayan Glacier Trekking, Sagar Pandey is daarvan de directeur.
Is voor mij een uitstekend buro. Ik doe al jaren zaken met
ze en ben daar over zeer tevreden. Hebben voor vrienden en
kennissen van me een Trekking verzorgd Rolwaling, Annapurne
Round, Trekking round Dhaulagiri en zelf kom ik jaarlijks
met een groep (over 10 dagen weer) en doen we de Royal Trektocht
boven Pokhara. Steeds tot volle tevredenheid. Wat ik ook bijzonder
vind van HGT is dat ze naast het trekking
gebeuren ook een Nepalees project steunen: een weeshuis Child
Environment Nepal. Sagar is daarvan de oprichter.... Wat ook
heel leuk is om te weten: wij, mijn groep van 16 personen
gaan de
Royal Trek schoonmaken met o.a. zijn mensen, zijn organisatie
en met Keep.
En dat is heel leuk. Ik kan je HGT dan ook echt van harte
aanbevelen. Als je ze ziet, doe de
groeten ook aan Naba. Heel veel plezier in Nepal. Voor mij
is het de 17e keer dat ik er kom en
..... het zal niet de laatste zijn.
