The shortest possible tour of Lhasa, “Encounter
Lhasa”, is a very popular tour amongst
foreign travelers as it offers a glimpse into the
heart and soul of Tibet. This holiday is operational
only between June and November because flights
to Lhasa are not available throughout the
year.
A marvelous Trans-Himalayan flight to Lhasa
(3600m) kicks of this mystical journey followed
by a days rest to get acclimatized to higher altitudes.
It is hard to imagine a thriving city at such an altitude,
functioning as the religious, cultural and economic
hub of Tibet. Places of interest include the Potala
Palace (one time seat of
power of the Dalai Lamas)

Fly to Lhasa
over panoramas of the Himalayan range.
Transfer and check-in to your hotel. Rest
for acclimatization. |

Visit the Potala Palace,
one of the most amazing Palaces in the
world. |

Visit Norbulingka Palace,
Drepung & Sera Monasteries and Jokhang
Temple |
| Day 4 |
Transfer to Gongkar Airport,
a 2 hours drive from Lhasa. The flight
duration is 1 hr and 10 minutes and is
one of the most beautiful flights in the
world. On your flight you shall see the
Yalung Tsangpo River, Lake Yamdrok, Kanchenjunga
(8586m), Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Everest
(8848m).
